Introducing Emelyn Ruth Bornstein

Born on April 25, 2015 at 12:30 am.  9 pounds 2 ounces.  Everyone is doing great!

New addition to the Bornstein family!

We have a new family member!  Thank you AutoNation of Costa Mesa!

3 months, 3 kids under 3

 We have survived the past 3 months! Thomas turned 3 months on the 21st and has started to leave the newborn stage. Mom gets many nights of 6 hour sleep sets. It's amazing how consistent sleep can make you feel much more normal and with it:). He continues to be a pretty mellow baby which makes life with 3 much easier. He is smiling and cooing all the time. His sisters make him smile all the time even though Adelae mainly pokes his nose and eyes. He is a little bundle of joy.

Papa Tom and Granny Peg were able to fly down for Thomas and Adelae's dedication service. We are blessed with such supporting families who have left and are leaving great legacies for our children. What a wonderful group of faithful Christians these kids get to be a part of.

Muira has become quite the photo opportunist. She often tells me, "Mom, let's get Thomas so I can hold him and you can take a CUTE picture of us."

And now for an ode to Adelae. Poor girl doesn't appear much on our blog in the "neglected years", so I'll give more regular updates so that she won't have to feel left out as the middle kid:).
She is starting to turn into a little girl. Her vocabulary is expanding by leaps and bounds. She calls many food items "cookie" and sounds much like cookie monster when doing so. She is in the stage of trying to do everything Muira does. If Muira eats cereal, she wants her bowl too. If Muira is climbing on furniture, she's right behind. Lately it has been keeping up with all of Muira's dancing. She'll have to put on a skirt if Muira is twirling around with one. It is fun to see the sister bond forming. 

Still loves her books. Her favorite lately is Mother Goose and Humpty Dumpty. She runs around the house saying, "Dumpty, dumpty" as she searches for the book. She still doesn't really let you read it to her  but she likes going through the pages by herself

She has been into peek a boo lately. This is her after taking her hands off her eyes. She will hide under our table and yell, "Addi" wanting us to ask, "Where is Adelae?"

Starting to play and interact with Muira more and more. Love seeing them enjoying each other.

Ok... so we have been busy!

Yes, we know haven't posted in a while, but the light speed jump from two kids to three along with all the other busyness, has really taken us for a ride.  Here are some snapshots from the past months...

Thomas celebrated his one month birthday with a trip up to Northern California to be with family for Christmas. He was a champion traveler and basically has slept most of his first few weeks of life. He is just starting to observe and take in his world a few times a day. He is pretty mellow which makes taking care of the girls much easier.

Muira loves her brother and enjoys giving him big hugs. She always says he is saying "What's going on here?"

Adelae is starting to walk, using some words like apple, baby and agua. Her little personality is starting to show. She's determined to do what her sister does and loves sitting down and reading books to herself.  

These snuggle times never get old.

Muira is as active as always. She narrates her life constantly and uses new words that surprise us daily. She has recently started to play mommy with all her dolls. 

Adelae loves her poppa. She yells and jumps up and down when he comes home from work each day.

Lately, Muira and I have been having fun games of chase.  She has just about worn a path in the hall with the amount of times back and forth!

Summertime fun with the family

We have enjoyed the summer immensely! We are fortunate to be teachers and have the summer off. It has been fun spending time with Muira and relaxing before heading into a busy fall, back to work and with 2 kids! Some highlights were our trip up north to visit family. It was fun seeing Muira play with her cousins and we were excited to meet the newest member on the Bornstein side... Lillian Peyton, who will be only a couple months older than our new one. It is great to have cousins so close in age.

I can't believe how quickly she is growing up.  I love how she points everyone out in the room, even our friends that she doesn't see that often...  So fun!

Busy and Moving

We've neglected our blog for quite some time. But, alas, FINALLY, we are on summer break and ready to relax, swim in the pool, and bake this second baby.
Muira update:
She is on the move and so full of life. She has turned into such an adventurous little lady. Once she got the hang of walking, she wanted to go higher and started climbing. She throws herself down slides and would jump into any body of water if we'd let her. She is starting to communicate more with the few signs she has learned and has a few babbles we can understand like poppa, momma, hi and today she said baby. She is such a joy and we are looking forward to spending summer with her. We're so thankful for jobs that allow us that precious time.
